The Alhambra Series of stained glass designs was adapted from Moresque wall panels ( originally carved in stucco ) at the Palace of the Alhambra in Grenada , Spain. The first in this series is based on the bands of inscriptions (written script) that frame various wall panels at the Alhambra. This window was adapted from a corner stop in a band of inscriptions.
